What makes a country?
Yewande Akinse
the geography of unmined lands
or the minted currency of an economy?
the poetry of tribes and tongue
the rhythm of its people?
the hegemony of constituencies?
the stack of history?
the volume of rain?
the bodies, hibernating in the sun?
